Driving Lessons in Edgware

As an experienced driving instructor based in Mill Hill NW London, with almost 10 years local knowledge, I would like to offer driving lessons in Edgware to all residents of the HA8 post code area.

If you live in Burnt Oak, Edgware, Belmont, Kingsbury areas of London, I can offer you my expert services from complete beginners with no previous driving experience all the way to driving test rescue sessions designed to help you succeed on your next attempt at the DSA practical car test.

There are many instructors in Edgware, and I will not claim to be the cheapest, and will not even attempt to compete with the £15, £18 or £23 per hour lesson offers, however what I do offer is the best value for your money when it comes to the quality of driving tuition you get. I will give you my full attention for the contracted one hour (no phones calls, texting or bank visits), be sympathetic to mistakes and offer the necessary remedial action without shouting or getting frustrated at any difficulties you might be having.

I don't prolong the number of driving lessons you need before a test, or give you sub-standard advice or pull you over and give you a 10 minute 'lesson briefing' everytime you make a mistake in order to conserve fuel, and will do my best to get you to the test standard at the shortest possible time within your own abilities (so fast and hard working learners benefit the most).

Because some of the test routes of the Mill Hill centre pass through Egdware, your driving lessons will take maximum advantage of my local knowledge of what the DSA examiners will be looking for, and I will give you abundance of practise on tricky spots that have failed many people in the past.

Finally I offer free online driving test tips which includes videos to supplement your in-car tuition, and you can have your driving lessons recorded if you want to help with your revision at home while preparing for the test (No other driving instructor working in the Edgware has this free service!), so all in all, great value for your money.

Driving Lessons cost £25 per hour or £48 for 2 hour sessions Monday to Saturday, not cheap but affordable compared to AA, BSM (I'm an ex AA independent instructor, and work to higher standards, as I have a reputation and means of livelihood to protect).

So if you are interested in learning to drive in Edgware HA8, or want to pass your next driving test in Hendon or Mill Hill, then give me a call on 07956233032 (please do leave a message as I don't take calls during lessons) or send me a text.

Watling Ave Car Park Edgware HA8

This has nothing to do with Driving Lessons in Edgware, but as a regular user of the Watling Avenue long stay car park in Burnt Oak, HA8 in North West London, I just wanted to alert other road users to the fact that the London Borough of Barnet has decided not to fix the parking meters, and that if you use the parking bays, you need to pay by phone otherwise you WILL GET a Penalty Charge Notice (ticket).

Apparently according to the parking warden I spoke to, the machines are constantly being vandalised by members of the public, despite the CCTV cameras installed on the premises.

There are signs which do indicate that you should pay by phone if the machines are out of order, but a lot of people ignore this going by the number of cars with parking tickets I saw there today.

As an additionl note, any new driving instructor in edgware might want to note that there is some free space towards the rear of this location that would be good for practising the reverse bay parkin exercise.

The number to call for pay by phone is 02033622000 and Watling Ave Car park is location 7524.

Driving Lessons and DSA Car Test

This week a learner of mine who had been taking driving lessons in Borehamwood narrowly missed out passing the driving test due to one serious driving fault of hesistation at junctions!

Unfortunately this was the learners fault, as she decided by herself to drive differently from how she had been taught during her driving lessons. The purpose of taking lessons with an instructor is to build up the correct driving habits so that on the DSA car test you demonstrate exactly what you have been taught to the examiner.

You should not be trying out anything new or doing things that you were not taught during driving lessons when the examiner is in the car. If your instructor has not mentioned a fault during your lessons, then it means you don't have a problem there. Deciding to be extra careful at junctions waiting for all vehicles to pass even when there is a safe gap is frowned upon by examiners and will lead to the hesitation fault being marked.

If you have any concerns about your skills, the driving lessons leading up to the test are the times you should get these addressed with your instructor, and you should not be making any last minute changes on the day of your test. If you do not trust your instructor, take lessons with someone else.

One of the reasons why I have a high pass rate at the 3 main driving test centres in London I use is not only because I offer high quality tution to learners, but I also know what the individual dsa examiners are looking for, and If I tell you that you don't have a problem with hesistation during lessons, you can be rest assured that you won't be marked down for this fault on the driving test!
