My first N3 Learner driver
I remember very well the first N3 driving school learner driver client I had, she had booked a 2 hour driving lesson, and it was winter, with the weather forecasters predicting snow for the day. Even though my learner driver lived in Finchley N3, the driving lesson was going to take place in Mill Hill because I had to pick her up from Copthall girls school where she was a sixth former studying for her A Levels.
Around 10am on the day of the driving lesson in mill hill (I was to pick her up from her sixth form college in Page st NW7), I got a call from my pupil wondering if I was going to cancel the session because of the snow that was forecast for later in the day. I answered that unless the snow was very heavy, and the roads were not safe, then the lesson was going ahead as planned, to which she seemed relieved.
At 3.00pm, I droved to the school and waited for her to finish classes at 3.15pm. At the time I was an AA driving instructor, so the car was a Ford Focus and it stood out amongst the parents cars waiting to pickup their children.
My pupil was a little late coming out, but she finally arrive, we exchanged greetings and after checking her provisional driving licence and eyesight we drove around Mill Hill, Hendon and Finchley areas of London.
I did snow that day, and my driving school car almost got stuck in Finchley N3 when I dropped her off at home.
